Back to School

Were your kids struggling through their last year of school and now you wonder what will happen this year? Many children struggle in school because of a vision related problem. Just because your child can see 20/20 and read a sign far away, this does not mean they can properly focus and track across a page while reading a book. Schedule an eye exam for your child to be sure they are getting the most out of their education.

 

School Nurses and Coaches

We here at Drs. Branstetter and Sparks, Optometrists try to be very involved in our school system. Many of us in the office wear some kind of correction, whether it be glasses or contact lenses. Over the years we have tried to furnish all school nurses with emergency eye kits. This way each school nurse will have contact lens solution, eye wash, and glasses repair kits to help with any eye related emergency. This year we are also preparing eye emergency kits for all of the sports teams at the Derby Middle School and Derby High School. These small backpacks will be easy to transport to away games and can be on hand if anyone has a contact lens or glasses issues during the event. There will also be eye wash if someone gets something in their eye, which is very common here in windy Kansas. We are proud to be a part of your child's school and sports experience. Go Derby!
